NOT GOOD: Greenbrier Classic course underwater just before golf tournament.

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, WV — Just two weeks away from the scheduled Greenbrier Classic, which is an annual golf tournament that hosts professional golfers, flooding has completely immersed the course.

Two-time Master winning golfer Bubba Watson tweeted a photo and a video of the course’s condition.

Outside of the resort didn’t look any better.

Footage of the flooding situtation has also been posted on Instagram by guests staying at Greenbrier Resort.

According to a Greenbrier press release, all actions are being taken to keep all guests and Team Members safe, and that is the focus of everybody at this time.

“It’s like nothing I’ve seen,” said Jim Justice, Owner and CEO, The Greenbrier. “But our focus right now isn’t on the property, the golf course or anything else. We’re praying for the people and doing everything we can to get them the help they need.”

There presently has not been an announcement regarding the future plans for the tournament.
