CHARLESTON, WV — The Buckhannon-Upshur Lady Bucs massacred the Wheeling Park Patriots 49-27. Makayla Reynolds led Buckhannon-Upshur with 14 points for the win. McClung was second, scoring 10 points. Lauren Schultz gained 10 points for Wheeling Park with the loss.
“Our girls have been so focused and it’s been unreal,” said Buckhannon-Upshur coach Jeremy Maxwell told WV MetroNews. “You would think with a bunch of teenage girls that I would have to be on them to do this and do that, but they’ve been spot on. I just really appreciate the effort.”
This advances Buckhannon-Upshur to the Class AAA Championship on Saturday, playing the Huntington Highlanders.
