WVSSAC misspells “Tournament” on State Championship plaques.

CHARLESTON, WV — After the 2017 West Virginia AAA Girls Basketball Championship, the WVSSAC distributed plaques to both Huntington and Buckhannon-Upshur who participated in the tournament. The problem is that they misspelled “tournament.”

“W.V.S.S.A.C 2017 ‘AAA’ Girls Basketball All Tournamet,” the plaque read.

“Might want to spell check your awards before they’re issued,” one player’s mother wrote to WVSSAC. “Unprofessional.”

WVSSAC has yet to announce if they will replace the misspelled plaques.
