BUCKHANNON, WV — On Tuesday, Sen. Robert Karnes joshed his opponent, Bill Hamilton, questioning the reason behind his senatorial run.
In a Facebook post, Karnes wrote the following:
“Saw Robbie Martin announced he is running for 45th district house of delegates. Is Bill running for Senate or running from Robbie Martin?” Karnes questioned.
Last week, Martin announced that he was leaving the Board of Education to run for the 49th District House of Delegates’ seat.
Hamilton is leaving his seat in the House of Delegates to challenge fellow-republican, incumbent Robert Karnes for West Virginia’s 11th senatorial district.
