Brandon Tenney and Jack Garcia honored by Mayor McCauley

BUCKHANNON — Buckhannon-Upshur High School wrestlers Brandon Tenney and Jack Garcia were awarded proclamations from the City of Buckhannon, by Mayor David McCauley.

Tenney won two state championship titles: one as a sophomore competing in the 113-pound weight class, and as a senior in the 145 weight class.

Garcia completed as the runner-up at the West Virginia AAA wrestling championship, while competing in the 152 weight class.

Both wrestlers with given their own honorary days: Brandon Tenney Day (June 2, 2016) and Jack Garcia Day (June 3, 2016).
