Pastor Layfield responds to LGBT activists targeting children at Upshur County Public Library.

I have had many questions arise after my social media post regarding the “Prince and Knight” children’s book. I hope to give clarity to those who question.

Indoctrination

The definition of indoctrination according to Webster Dictionary is “the process of teaching a person or a group of people to accept a set of beliefs uncritically.” My mention of LGBTQ activists indoctrinating our children is unanimously grounded on facts, which echoes to the truth that their intentions are to force their beliefs on our children. The Drag Queen Story Hour and the children’s books both testify to their audience. Why the kids, one should ask? This is classic indoctrination. The intention is clear. Their audience is clear. Parents, school officials, teachers and our community as a whole are all impacted and must all be aware of the extreme indoctrination that is taking place in our communities.

Censorship

The main argument I have seen, regarding the relocation of the book, will be censorship. The ALA cries that the public library can’t and do not censor. This is intriguing as we already censor children’s books according to someone’s standard. So, their cry is simply not true. The question is: who’s standard is it? We do not have vulgarity in the children’s section. We do not have pornographic material in the kids’ section. We don’t have books that celebrate polygamy or adultery, and justly so. I mean, can you imagine a children’s book that celebrates a man who continues to cheat on a poor little boy’s mother; then attempts to show how we should accept his “lifestyle” choice? I pray, hope, and plead no.

Sin

The grand deception is this is done in the name of “love.” The LGBTQ community wants to confuse the word, where you don’t really know what true love is. Let me help you understand. True love is where your creator, who knows everything about you, even your darkest secrets, loves you so much that He came down from heaven and became flesh. He lived a life with a mission to die for you. He died on a cross and He rose again to show you that He has the power to forgive sin. That is true love!

However, our part is to humble our heart and repent of our sin. That includes all sin. That includes adultery, pornography, and homosexuality, etc. Jesus has the power to free you from all sin. The gospel has always been the same. I just plead with the libraries, the state officials, the teachers, the pastors, the churches, and the communities to not participate in this indoctrination. To indoctrinate our children in the acceptance of sin is not acceptable nor should it ever be. The LGBTQ message is a message of love and acceptance shrouded in darkness.

To Point

We have had no issue up to this point. No children’s book is in the library celebrating adultery. No children’s book is in the library celebrating polygamy. This is not about acceptance, equality, or a lose definition of love. This is about standards within a tax funded institution and the celebration of sin.

True Equality

God saw man equally sinful needing to be redeemed. All men and women must repent and be born again to receive eternal life. There is none good. Not even one. How’s that for equality?
