CHARLESTON — Two fresh faces joined the West Virginia House of Delegates this week as they took their oaths of office in the House Chamber. House Speaker Roger Hanshaw led the swearing-in ceremony.
Erica Moore, from Spencer, and Jeff Stephens, representing Marshall County, officially became members of the House on Monday at the State Capitol building.
Erica Moore represents the 15th Delegate District of Roane County and a portion of Wirt County.
She steps into the role to fulfill the remaining term of former Delegate Riley Keaton (R-15).
Del. Keaton accepted a position as a legislative assistant to legislative affairs counsel, within the state Department of Health and Human Resources.
In the case of Jeff Stephens, his service is devoted to the 6th Delegate District, which includes the northwestern section of Marshall County.
He is responsible for completing the term of former Delegate Charlie Reynolds (R-6).
Committee assignments and contact details for Moore and Stephens will soon be accessible on the West Virginia Legislature’s website, providing constituents with a means to engage with their newly appointed representatives.
