Raymond Charles Gilbert, age 79, of Buckhannon died on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. He was born in Baltimore, MD on October 23, 1945, a son of the late Raymond and Edna Brilhart Gilbert. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Robert Gilbert and one sister, Barbara Whaley. He was united in marriage on September 13, 2002, to Sandra Elaine Bennett Gilbert who survives in Buckhannon. In addition to his wife, he is survived by numerous brothers and sisters-in law and several nieces and nephews, a special friend Denny Earhart of Pittsburgh, PA.
Raymond was retired from the United States Navy with twenty years of service.
The family has honored his wishes for cremation and there will be no services.
