Daniel Lee Carpenter, age 48, of Buckhannon, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. He was born on December 29, 1977, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Bobby and Carolyn Carpenter.
Daniel was a carpenter by trade. He spent his spare time tinkering on cars, and he was happiest when he was out in the woods bow hunting.
He is survived by his eight siblings: Kim (Dennis) Overton of Ripley, WV; Carmen of Buckhannon; Sean of Rock Cave; David, Brent, and Greg of Buckhannon; Todd (Carrie Ferguson) of Delbarton; and Shannon (Terry "Buck") Beeson in Tennessee. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Carolyn, and his fiancé, Rebekah Simons.
The family has honored his wishes for cremation, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
