Donnie Lee McIe, age 66, of Buckhannon, died on Monday, August 10, 2026, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. He was born in Buckhannon on December 9, 1959, a son of Ronald F. McIe of Lodi, OH and the late Vera Casto McIe. In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by two sisters: Helen and Sue; one sister-in-law, Judy Ogden; one nephew, Glenn Lee McIe.
He is survived by one son, Joseph and wife Natasha Chidester of Rock Cave; four grandchildren: Aden, Makayla, Jaden and Makenna; five brothers: David and Julie McIe of Lodi, OH, Frank and Donna McIe of Elko, NV, Glenn and Trisha McIe of Lodi, OH, Custer Ogden of Wadsworth, OH, Randall and Charlotte Ogden of Cambridge, OH; six sisters: Pat and Gary Furr of Lodi, OH, Pam and John, Kim and Tim Kimble of Greenwich, OH, Tereasa and Vince Cover of Lodi, OH, Birdee Ogden-Kimble of N. Ridgeville, OH, and Billie and Pete Farner of W. Salem, OH; several nieces and nephews.
Donnie enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on guns and time with family.
Friends will be received at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel on Monday, August 17, 2026, from 11-12:00 noon, the funeral hour, with Pastor Lonnie Casto officiating. Interment will follow in the Brown Cemetery at Heaston Ridge.
