Ray Edgar Bryant, age 86, of French Creek, died Friday, September 4, 2026, at Holbrook Healthcare Center in Buckhannon. He was born on July 22, 1940, in Charleston, WV, a son of the late Joseph Stephen and Nellie Irene Huffman Bryant. On August 12, 1962, he was united in marriage to Caroline Deloris Woodson Bryant, who preceded him in death on November 9, 2018. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by three brothers: Sherman Leo Bryant, Marion Joseph Bryant, and Howard Bryant; and six brothers-in-law: Elmer, Gene, Jerry, and Albert Woodson, Dale Hawkins, and Bryan Harper. He is survived by three daughters: Kathy and husband Andy Yakuboff, Anita Bryant, and Susan and husband Loren Farrar, all of French Creek; four sisters-in-law: Wanda Hawkins, Carla Harper, Tammy Ford and husband Mike, and Opal Woodson; and several treasured nieces and nephews.
Mr. Bryant was an avid farmer and outdoorsman and was a longtime member of the Banks District VFD.
The body will be cremated and a graveside service will be held at a later date.
