Douglas Lee Cornwell, age 85, of Tallmansville, died Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at JW Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. He was born April 21, 1941, in Connecticut, a son of the late Merle Page and May Slack Cornwell. On October 7, 1962, he was united in marriage to Brenda Faye Goodwin Cornwell, who proceeded him in death on August 25, 2025. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by two sons: Darryl Lawrence Cornwell and Bryan Lee Cornwell.
Mr. Cornwell was a veteran of the US Navy and was retired from Moore Business Forms where he worked as an accountant.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 2:00 pm, at the Buckhannon Memorial Park where the Upshur County Honor Guard will conduct military honors.
