Shannon Danielle Marteney McDaniels, age 55, of Buckhannon, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She was born on November 11, 1970, in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Jerry Wayne Marteney and Linda Rohr Marteney who survives. On April 4, 1998, she was united in marriage to Brian A. McDaniels who survives. In addition to her mother and husband, she is also survived by one daughter Ashley Marteney Hauk of Fairmont; two sons: Hunter McDaniels and Kaiden McDaniels, both of Buckhannon; one granddaughter Adaline Grace McDaniels; one special lifetime friend Maranda Marin; and her beloved dogs: Mya and Jasper.
Shannon enjoyed camping, traveling, and helping others, but most of all she cherished moments spent with her friends and family, especially her children and granddaughter.
The body will be cremated. A celebration of life will be held from 2-7:00 PM on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the Outpost Event Center, 20 Raella Lane, Buckhannon.
