Earline Kay (Nester) Lynch, 81, of Buckhannon, formerly Arnoldsburg, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026. Born on July 25, 1944 in Spencer, she was known for her love for the Lord, devotion to her family, and a gentle sweet spirit that touched everyone who knew her.
Earline went to be with her beloved husband, Robert Leon Lynch and her daughter Lucinda Lynch Powell. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Ethel Nester, her brother, Bill Nester, and her grandson, Jordan Welch. While her family grieves of her passing, they take comfort in knowing she is reunited with those who went before her.
Earline is survived by her son, Robert Lynch (wife-Roberta) of Buckhannon, and her daughter, Shannon Welch of Millstone. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Brandon Welch (Hillary), Taylor Welch, Robbie Martin (Alicia), Patrick Martin (Madison) and Carli Martin (Randall). She was also blessed with several great-grandchildren.
Earline was a faithful member of the Walnut Grove Community Church in Arnoldsburg where she loved playing the piano for several years. At the time of her passing, she was attending the Way of Holiness Church in Buckhannon.
Earline was a homemaker and in her later years worked at the Roane County Library until she moved to Buckhannon to be with her son and daughter-in-law. She enjoyed playing dominoes, working puzzles, reading, and most of all sharing her love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her favorite scripture was Isaiah 40:31 “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint”.
In honoring Mrs. Lynch’s wishes she will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
