Caroline Helen Lee, age 88, of Buckhannon, died peacefully on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was born in Buckhannon on September 28, 1937, a daughter of the late William and Flora Rowan Kelley. She is survived by her husband Kenneth G. Lee; one son, Kevin Andrew Lee and Patty Neal of Buckhannon; one daughter, Sharon and husband Lenny Evans of Buckhannon; eight grandchildren: Matthew Lee, Brandon and wife Dezirae Heater, Sara and husband Ray Tippens, Terry Evans, Bridget Evans, Joshua Evans, Joshua Plass, and Dusty Plass; three great grandchildren: Oaklynn, Savanah, and Kalvin Heater; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one great granddaughter Payten Tippens; three brothers: Verlon, Ernie, and Rex Kelley; two sisters: Estalene Tenney and Virginia “Jenny” Talbott; one infant brother, Donnie Kelley.
Helen was a caregiver to many throughout the years. She played guitar and the piano and sang gospel music with her husband. She was a member of the Tallmansville Baptist Church.
Friends will be received at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 4-6 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tim Lews officiating. Interment will follow in the Tallmansville Baptist Cemetery.
