Daniel William “Danny” Kasten, age 67, of Pinnell Street, Buckhannon, died Monday, October 13, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon. He was born on April 20, 1958, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Freddie W. and Dolores Dawn Ogden Kasten. On November 3, 1979, he was united in marriage to Colleen A. Johnson Kasten who survives. Also surviving are two sisters: Kathy Leigh and Margy Grenz and husband Donovan, both of Buckhannon; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son Daniel Joseph “D.J.” Kasten, one sister Anna Kasten, and one brother-in-law David Leigh.
Danny was a skilled laborer and had worked for many years in construction and maintenance. He was a talented cook, an avid hunter and fisherman, and especially enjoyed fishing the Cacapon with his son D.J.
The body will be cremated and a private service will be held for the family at a later date.
