Kathleen R. Eskew, age 76, of French Creek, died unexpectedly on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at J.W. Ruby Memorial in Morgantown. She was born on December 17, 1951, in Pickens, WV a daughter of the late James D. and Eula Chidester Williams. She is survived by her husband of fifty-four years, Carl J. Eskew, whom she married on October 11, 1968. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Rebecca D. Thomason and husband Gary of Belington and one son, Judson Lee Eskew and wife Cathy of French Creek; three grandchildren: Dustin Eskew, Kayla Kelley and companion Zach Patterson, and Taylor Eskew; three great grandchildren: Aleah Kelley, Bryar Kelley, and Everleigh Patterson; one sister, Ruby Williams and husband Dave of Grafton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Fredrick “Freddie” Eskew; two sisters: Jo Ann Casto, and Virginia Heath; six brothers: James “Herb” Williams, Robert Williams, Bud Williams, Ralph Williams, Paul Williams, Cecil Williams and one half-brother, Arden Nethken.
Kathy was retired from St. Joseph’s Hospital with twenty-one and a half years of service as a unit secretary. After retirement, she worked as a caregiver. She was a member of the Selbyville Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Rock Cave Baptist Church.
