Attorney General Patrick Morrisey Endorses Robert Karnes for State Senate

BUCKHANNON — On October 29th, West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey (R) made a campaign stop in Upshur County to endorse Robert Karnes (R) for state senate.

“I’m here to support my friend Robert Karnes for State Senate. We need his voice in Charleston.” Morrisey told Mountaineer Journal.

“A lot of times, people go to Charleston and then they lose their voice or they get intimidated by the Charleston establishment. People know that I don’t get intimidated by the Charleston establishment, and I know Robert Karnes won’t as well.

He’s going be a strong fiscal conservative. He’s going to oppose tax increases. He’s going to look out for jobs and economic growth. and he’s also going to look out for the families in Randolph County, Upshur County, Webster and Nicholas Counties, and Grant and Pendleton.

He is looking to do a lot of good things. I think he’s going to be a strong representative from this area. I wanted to come in the rain (we’re doing a bit of sign-waving) to show support for Robert Karnes for state senate, right before Election Day. I’m hopeful folks will support him as well.”

Morrisey is currently running for re-election against Sam Petsonk (D) in the 2020 general election.
