BUCKHANNON — On Tuesday, every single candidate serving as an open member of Buckhannon’s “Hate Has No Home Here” campaign lost their race.
For the House of Delegate’s 45 district, Matt Kerner (D) received a devastating defeat by Robbie Martin (R). Kerner received only 32 percent, with Martin capturing a massive 68 percent.
For Upshur County Commission, Kevin Campbell (I) just received 16.26 percent with Kristie Tenney (R) gaining 83.73 percent.
In Buckhannon, this was a clear rejection of liberalism. For months, Upshur Indivisible has promoted their ‘Hate Has No Home Here’ campaign, only to receive an embarrassing defeat. Upshur County remains strongly red and Republican.
