Reports have emerged that the Rick Edwards for Mayor campaign was trying to solicit votes at Pizza Hut without corporate permission. Customers have reported that campaign buttons were placed on tables attempting to win votes in the May 10, 2016, city election. Edwards’ wife is the manager of the local restaurant; however, she allegedly did not gain permission from the corporate office prior to the solicitation.
This resulted in at least five customers contacting corporate headquarters, complaining about the political propaganda.
